European removals

With the working arrangements in the European Union creating further opportunities for work and living, now is a time where companies that specialise in removals are going to get more requests and work from those looking to move abroad (just not on the opposite side of the world!). And with c   ompanies moving more and more and relocating to new sites in the EU, the chances are you may have to call upon one and their specialist experience if you are heading down this road yourself.

This could be for a personal move, as you re-house yourself to move to a location that the company you work for is moving to (in relation to a promotion, or transfer), or a business venture that will see you up roots and move in order to broaden your company image and work/life opportunities.
Whatever the reason, removal services still need to adjust their ‘plan of attack’ in order to help you as best they can. A lot of companies are able to provide what is essentially a door to door service to get you and your belongings to your new home wherever you are going to be based in Europe. The arrival destinations themselves will encompass all of the European Union countries, even including those of the new member states and Scandinavia, so you shouldn’t have to worry too much about getting the support of their firm for a far away land!
Although hiring a van can be an option, or hiring a removal service without the depth of experience might seem like a good idea, because of the specifications and requirements of your move, you are better off with getting help from a specialist removal firm. With the connections and communication amongst the member states of the European Union, it is a lot easier and straightforward to organise a move within the legal constraints and requirements that you have to fulfil, compared to that of a move internationally outside the EU. The removal firm will also be able to provide an experienced surveyor to assist with the whole process, but this will often mean that you have to book ahead, far in advance.
International moves require a lot more in depth forward planning months ahead of the changeover date due to the length of time it will take to have your belongings shipped across, flight times and the transition between the two. But in comparison, moves across Europe can be a little less time consuming and not require going get distances by ocean, and can therefore be planned for using tools and  that the firm already has access to via in-house. Haulage is possible because of the shorter distances. Unlike a move to Hong Kong, Indonesia or similar, you don’t have to hire container space on a boat carrier shipment to carry your possessions across the globe. Removal vans can therefore still be used, in order to provide a service that is efficient and within budget.
Advance satellite navigation systems mean that the removal firm can pinpoint the location of your new property exactly and tailor your route to meet your personal needs. A comprehensive access to export quality packing and insurances mean that you can have items sent by airmail and post to ease the cost and effort needed to have belongings driven across countries.
The same work crew that loaded up your goods will meet you there, providing a familiar face than those of another company! And you will be kept regularly up to date about the progress of the move by mobile phone and satellite tracking, to keep you ‘in the know’ about how far along they are.
